What a fantastic way to engage with a new audience about your Great Grandmother Annie's life.

"That's where NotebookLM1 came in handy — an AI research assistant that helped me shape Annie's story into a podcast series."

This is truly inspirational for an AI-generated podcast. I am amazed at how the tone of the voices matched the solemnity of the story. I am interested in the creation, customisation and editing process you followed and would love to interview you about that, as a podcast.

There's a small amount of customising that you can do which helps if the speakers go off on a tangent. It's still early days but I'm having a lot of fun creating these. At first I wanted different voices, but then I realised that it's nicer to be consistent. I did have to add a prompt, Avoid saying wow! As the female voice kept interjecting with wow! Oh wow! Ek! Happy to chat with you sometime.

Annie and her family's story is a good read/listen. It is interesting to see how NotebookLM handled it.

It did pretty good. There was one major blooper that I didn't want in there, so with some Audacity editing I could remove it and added some light music here and there. You get to do a certain amount of customisation as in asking them to focus on certain parts. That worked to an extent but this story was so complicated with twist and turns, I pretty much let it run with it.
